This scenic loop showcases the best of Cama Beach Historical State Park, combining saltwater views, forest trails, and a peaceful freshwater lake. We’ll begin near the historic waterfront cabins and follow trails that gently climb through second-growth forest before opening to beautiful viewpoints of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.
The Marine View Trail offers shoreline vistas and bluff-top scenery, especially rewarding on clear days. We’ll then head inland to the quieter Cranberry Lake area, where the trail winds through shaded forest and skirts the edge of the lake—an ideal spot for a short rest and birdwatching.
The route is well-maintained with gradual elevation changes. Expect a mix of wide gravel paths and narrower dirt trails, with some roots and uneven sections typical of forest hiking.
