Bowman Bay, located within Deception Pass State Park, is a beautiful hiking area with coastal views and forests of hemlock, fir, and Pacific madrone trees. Bowman Bay sits between two easy to moderate trails to both Rosario Head and Lighthouse Point.
The Plan:
Meet at the Bowman Bay boat launch parking area and hike to Rosario Head then back to Bowman Bay picnic area for lunch. After lunch, for those interested, hike to Lighthouse Point then back to Bowman Bay boat launch parking area. Each hike is about an hour long to the destination point and back. With lunch included, an estimated 3 hours in total.
For those interested, after the hiking event, we can stop by Lopez Island Creamery near Highway 20 in Anacortes.

Rosario Head (round trip) 1.6 miles
Lighthouse Point (round trip) 1.6 miles
Elevation Gain:
Rosario Head is 203 feet
Lighthouse Point is 236 feet
