Trail Work Party: Bainbridge Island

Join volunteers from the Park District, Bainbridge Island Land Trust, and the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation at Grand Forest East.

When: Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.

We’ll help improve the trail system. Projects could include social trail closure, tread work, improving drainage, or pruning back the spring flush. This event allows CAI-PNW to contribute to the community and generate visibility for our group.

These work parties are well suited for children ages eight and up who are comfortable using some tools and walking about a mile during the two-hour party. Thus, if you have interested kids, bring them along.

We’ll meet at the Grand Forest East Trailhead (see map ) at 9:30AM on Saturday, July 18.

Location:
7098 Mandus Olson Rd NE
Bainbridge Island, WA  98110

This is about a 10-minute drive from the Winslow ferry terminal.

After the event, we’ll meet in Winslow at Bruciato—a great Neapolitan pizzeria.

I’ll send further details to those who sign up about carpooling, pickup locations, etc.

Bring:
1. Sturdy boots
2. Work gloves
3. Water
4. Long sleeves/trousers are probably best
