Love chocolate? Let’s gear up for Valentine’s Day and take a tour of the Seattle Chocolate Factory!
This is an hour-long interactive guided experience, you’ll learn the history and origins of chocolate, how the chocolate is sourced and taste signature smooth chocolate throughout the journey. Plus, you’ll get a bird’s eye view of the inside of the 60,000 square foot factory from a hot pink mezzanine and see how chocolate truffles and truffle bars are made.
There is a fair amount of walking involved during the guided tour. Stairs up to the viewing platform and walkway may pose a difficulty to persons with mobility restrictions.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended and no dangling jewelry. Because it is a food plant, you will also be given a hairnet to wear inside the factory. The temperature in the warehouse is a bit chilly, please bring a sweater or jacket.
Each guest will be given a locker to stow their personal belongings, including cell phones, before embarking on the factory portion of the tour.
Seattle Chocolate Guidelines for the tour:
Personal belongings must be stored in lockers while in the factory.
Because glass is not allowed in the facility, no photos, cell phones or cameras inside the production area.
No loose hair. You must wear a hair net and beard net which are provided.
Please stay home if you are not feeling well, have a temperature or are otherwise sick.
